Keaton started his music career 20+ years ago performing in
Cape Town nightclubs. In 2012, the Grimehouse brand came to life &
instantly blew the scene away, receiving recognition for his outstanding
productions, breaking the genre chain, and developing his own unique style of
bass music. This gaining him a following of loyal bass lovers internationally.
Grimehouse has since performed every major festival in the country, topped music charts and independently funded, produced, and distributed not one, but two albums. His debut album, Magnum Opus, was released in 2016 with an overwhelming response, selling out one month before the release date! His second album, Meraki, released in 2021 – a project he worked on throughout the pandemic that infuses genres & features some of South Africa’s the top vocalists, it’s quite simply one f those productions you’d be happy to listen to for many years to come.
South African electronic dance music producer Grimehouse has just released his third album in 2023, Rhapsody. The album promises to be a sonic journey through the mind of one of the most innovative and boundary-pushing artists in the genre.
Rhapsody features 14 tracks, each one showcasing Grimehouse’s unique production style and signature sound. From the pounding beats of "Hate Myself" to the haunting melodies of "Silent & Grey", the album is a testament to Grimehouse’s ability to blend a variety of influences into a cohesive and immersive listening experience.
The world has gone through many changes in genres, and
artists have jumped ship and played it safe - Grimehouse has not. He has not
faltered from his core beliefs, changed, or adhered to the norm. Words from the
